The information we collect

For SGWidget.com customers we collect your name and email address. This data is collected when you enter it into the registration form at sgwidget.com/register

We collect your Sendgrid API token when you enter it into the form on our backend. This is required so that we can send subscribers to your Sendgrid lists when people opt-in using the widget placed on your website.

If you move from a free trial on to a paid plan we collect credit card information from you so that payment can be taken from your account and transferred to ours. This information is collected when you enter it into the form on our subscription page and immediately sent to stripe.com, a secure provider in the payments industry, who handle our transactions. The data never touches our servers and is not stored by us. It is handled safely and secured by Stripe at all time. Stripe are the data controller in this instance.

We collect email addresses on the homepage of our website if you enter your email address into the capture form.

When you place a widget on your website you are asking us to capture email addresses from your users. When your user enters their email address on your website. If Single Opt-In is enabled, we send the email address directly through to SendGrid without storing it on our servers or in our database. If Double Opt-In is enabled, we temporarily store the email address of the subscriber in our system until they click the link in their email. We then forward it to Sendgrid and delete the data from our database. If they have not clicked the link within 48 hours, the invite will expire and we delete the data from our database.
